Runnning up the flag!

As I sit here at my desk overlooking the green meadow and the windswept river, I am further enhanced by the indescribable fortuity of score selectivity from Apple Music. All my favourite tunes!

Apple Music is a music, audio and video streaming service developed by Apple Inc. Users select music to stream to their device on-demand, or they can listen to existing playlists. The service also includes the Internet radiostations Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits, and Apple Music Country, which are broadcast live to over 200 countries 24 hours a day. The service was announced on June 8, 2015, and launched on June 30, 2015. New subscribers get a one-month free or six months free trial with the purchase of select products before the service requires a monthly subscription.

Apple Music has no songs with over a billion plays. As of May 5, 2023, the most streamed song of all time on Apple Music is Shape of You by Ed Sheeran with more than 930 million plays worldwide.

Earlier this afternoon we silently wound our way into Renfrew County past White Lake where the young children were swimming with their parents. We landed as usual at Neat Café in Burnstown. When we had finished our coffee (there were no peanut butter squares today) we tooled into Stittsville. There for the second time today I had the car washed at what has overnight become my destination of choice; viz., Halo Car Wash®.  The people there are always welcoming! And the mechanical service is inexpressible! We also heard today from one of the employees that their new young manager is supportive. This intelligence pleased me very much though it doesn’t for a minute suprise me. There is a pervasive buoyant atmosphere about the place.

Buoyancy comes in different packages. If I were young (which I am not) the flavour of buoyancy would unquestionably be different.  I say this by way of introduction in order to quell any foreign assertion that I hadn’t acknowledged the possibility of alternative. Having thus removed that contamination from the outlook I am about to share, I am now presumably at liberty to afford myself the privilege not to excuse those almost predictable moments of faux pas which will decorate my dated exhibition.

Okay here goes. Painkillers are good, let’s face it. Just today I heard that Tylenol makes a new brand different from its arthritis pills; something stronger.  In my pursuit of the perfect analgesic I am now at the stage of examining marijuana oil. But the latest is that candy or gummy bear stuff! Not psychedelic. Just peaceful sleep.

Next. Ed Sheeran Is good.  Youth and rap aside he is a remarkably skilled artist for listeners of any age. And it also helps you can understand what he is saying.  His personal hardships though less palatable are for me gripping. The difficulty of so many others is always unsettling. But the obvious success which visits upon some of these people is revitalizing.

Next. Walmart has the best collection of affordable silk flowers.  The important qualification is that availability is not assured. But with a pinch of luck you’ll score from the wide collection of less attractive pieces the one that is the most authentic. I’ve scored 2 out of 3 times when searching. They’re about $1 each.

And another.  We really should learn to recall the painful truth that the rest of the world is not as perfect as you and I. If nothing else it eliminates a lot of unnecessary quibbling.

Next. I find it impossible to imagine a room with too many paintings. I adore fine art. We have now exhausted our capacity for anything further.

And lastly. If anyone asks, the answer is “No, I haven’t any misgivings.” Though this is not to say I shouldn’t have one or more.  The composition of complacency is unforgiving. To resist is futile!
