I remember the day I first crossed over the marshes from the mainland of South Carolina onto Hilton Head Island. The picture was instantly one of awe inspiring beauty. It fixed upon my brain a template of originality and longevity. The memory has never diminished. It continues to this day so many years later to be the seat of unbounded splendour and artistry. And the spectacle survives unhindered both in my mind and in fact.
Contemporaneous with our deep-dyed affection for Hilton Head Island is an immeasurable regard for our estate agent, Gail Edmonds, who has been handling our vacation rental needs on Hilton Head Island for over a decade. Having the certainty of reliability and professionalism is no small compliment to anyone. Gail embraces them both. And to an Olympian stratum.
Throughout our frequent visits to Hilton Head Island we have on occasion encountered obstruction and inconvenience, two of the things most desirable to avoid on vacation. Gail was there to remove the contamination from the otherwise incomparable view. She squared the experience and revived what is invariably for tourists that hopeful and much anticipated effervescence of the vacation moment.
Nor is it less mindful having the ability to trust a business relationship from afar. We have found that after our prolonged association with Gail the relationship has become one of familial consequence. Certainly we haven’t any depth of acquaintance beyond the executive realm; but we have perhaps unwittingly come to defer to Gail on matters of rental vacation with the same conviction one adheres to the authority of one’s tribal leaders.
The corporate body to which Gale belongs – namely, Destination Vacation – is one which has evolved very efficiently and not without competition or comparison. In my opinion it continues to rank as the best in the market for vacation property management. In support of my opinion I can say that we have had other experiences both on Hilton Head Island and abroad but Destination Vacation remains nonpareil. Gail and her colleagues have established the paradigm.
