Billy Bee

I am just a Billy Bee, a wretched silly me, I walk with pain and with a stick that all the world can see.

I am just a Billy Bee, I haven’t any care, I just bought a Cadillac and know what I like to wear.

I am just a Billy Bee, nearing the end of life, but haven’t any worry as the doom is not yet rife.

I am just a Billy Bee, had a burger ‘n fries for lunch while lolling  at the golf club, a place we like a bunch.

I am just a Billy Bee, we’re off to see my Sis, she lives nearby the Rideau in a home she won’t dismiss.

I am just a Billy Bee and Bunny is my friend, she is the most sartorial and never does offend.

I am just a Billy Bee, the weather starts to cool, the leaves are turning yellow and the kids are back in school.

I am just a Billy Bee, I wonder what to say, I haven’t got a lot of sense but humdrum day to day.

I am just a Billy Bee, a coffee is my drug; I sit and watch the river flow while filling up my mug.

I am just a Billy Bee, I’d like to linger more, but time is dear and I’m very near to turn the latch on door.
